Miguel Nunez was born in New York City on August 12, 1964 and was one of eight children.
After growing up and graduating high school in Wilson, North Carolina he moved to Los Angeles in hopes of becoming an actor.
His first acting role was in the comedy "What's Happening", which he got after he met actor Ernest Thomas.
He is very active in Los Angeles community helping the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission through his "Sparks Hope for the Holidays Program."

Miguel is married, the father of two daughters, and currently lives in Los Angeles.

His career has skyrocketed over the years with appearances in many movies including the starring role in the 2002 Warner Brothers movie Juwanna Mann
His television credits include the co-starring role of Detective Sam Sullivan in Warner Brothers series Tarzan as well as guest roles in several television shows including Bernie Mac, My Wife & Kids and Boomtown ( see Filmography for complete list )
Miguel also served as co-writer and co-producer in the 1996 film "Homeboys in Outer Space

His most recent work has been with the stage play Eric Jerome Dickey's Friends & Lovers touring the US in 2004-2005.
